Sri Lanka based black metal act ‘Dhishti‘ has announced the departure of Lord Bhahirawa of Wavulkale (aka Srala Rukshitha) due to some personal issue. The duties of bassist will now be taken over by ‘D’ (aka Avosha Hettiarachchi).

Annoucement on their Facebook page: “Greetings Fellow Brethren, It is with great regret that we announce that of our bassist Lord Bhahirawa of Wavulkale (AKA Srala Rukshitha)has left Dhishti due to personal issues. It was an unforgettable experience that we shared with our dear brother and his decision to leave Dhishti has been very hard on each and every one of us.Lord Bhahirawa played a very important role in the upcoming album Life is Suffering. composing and recording bass lines for the tracks and performing live in a number of live gigs that we played in 2011.We would like to Wish him all the very best for his future endeavors. Replacing Lord Bhahirawa, The Duties of the Bassist will be taken over by “D” (AKA Arosha Hettiarachchi ex-Spleen Saint) After the Meditation of Death tour “D” will be taking over the position of Bassist of Dhishti. We welcome him to the Depressive Rebellion with open Arms. Ave Mother Lanka!”

‘Dark Moon Eternity‘ is a five-piece Metalcore band from Noida. ‘Dark Moon Eternity’ came into existence when two 17 year- old metalheads Abhilash Nanduri & Umang Bhardwaj decided to make some metal music. The line-up was confirmed when the band members Abhilash Singh and Nishant Varshney met up on a social networking site. The need for another Guitarist was completed when Abhilash Nanduri suggested Manas Mishra. Through their music, the band aims to revolutionize the metal scene in India. The band draws its influences from the contemporary metal acts such as Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Korn, Bring Me The Horizon, Meshuggah, Limp Bizkit, August Burns Red, Slipknot etc.

Five-piece Groove Metal band from New Delhi, ‘New Genesis‘ have announced the pre-orders of their debut EP ‘The Pits of Tartarus‘, which will be released early next month in association with Trailer Boy Records.

The band was formed in August 2011 when Sagar, Ruben and KV met each other and thought of jamming together and covering few Lamb of God tracks as they were having same approach towards metal yet being different in their own way, while the other band members joining in later. Their music is very much influenced from a variety of bands like Chimaira, Lamb of God, Metallica, Obituary, Bullet For My Valentine, Devil Driver and Slipknot etc.

The EP title is ‘The Pits of Tartarus’, and its a conceptual album about a person who has done much evil, a lot of dreadful things as depicted in the first track titled ‘Infernal Chaos’ but is now in pain, depressed, bonded in chains of torment, suffering from his own wrong doings and guilt killing him from deep within. ‘Serpent of Illusion’ comes second in the EP after ‘Infernal Chaos’ and it, too, like the other songs, talks about the same person and his conversation with the Devil himself asking him to obey the devil and keep doing evil, but the person realizes it later on and hence seeks ‘Redemption’. He wants to get out of all this as portrayed in ‘Redemption’ but since its ‘The Pits of Tartarus’ (a place from where no one can return), the person ends up in hell which is what ‘Enfer’ is. This track was released last month and is available for FREE download on their SoundCloud page.

CRY, Hyderabad based, one man Depressive Black Metal Ambient project has finally called it a day.

The official announcement was made on the Facebook page. He said, “Have been away for half a year..apologies to everyone for not being in touch..It is with mixed feelings I want to inform everyone that my solo depressive black metal ambient project ‘CRY’ is now closed due to personal reasons..’CRY’ was a diary for me more than it being a music project and has been my remedy for depression..it helped me let go all the pain in the form of art rather than hurting myself more..I would like to thank every single person who understood and supported my music..Thank you.”

This one man project was signed to Beneath The Fog Productions. Cry has released its debut demo EP ‘Suicide’ in 2009 and then the full length album ‘Dead Within‘ in 2011.
