Interview with Infernal Wrath

Infernal Wrath is an extreme metal band from Mumbai. They just played at Resurrection III at Razz Rhino, this interview was done right after that.

Hails! My friends. Can you please give a brief introduction to Infernal Wrath for our readers?
Infernal Wrath-The name itself explains the band’s attitude, its aggression to the core. The concept of the band is not against god or with devil but "karma" in which the band has strong belief. So our songs will be based on that concept, but it will be totally extreme music.

Since you guys are quite new in the Indian Underground scene, tell us, how did you guys start and what’s your music like?
Infernal Wrath is new in the scene but all of us have been playing for past 4 years in the underground metal scene. Jp wanted to form an extreme band for a long time and was waiting for the right guys. We came together sometime around in the middle of 2004 and started playing what we wanted to.. Brutal, melodic, extreme death metal.

Myndsnare, Demonic Resurrection, Acrid Semblance are some of the bands we like to listen to

How many live shows have you done till now? Have you done any original compositions thus far?
We have done just 3 gigs of which 2 were competitions and we won both. We have around 3 originals and I think we will hit the studios by august and we hope to complete around 6 more songs.

How would rate your performance at Resurrection III at Razz, and the crowd response?
For us it was around 8 out of 10, the crowd response was good cause throughout our songs crowd was busy in the fucking moshpit and had no time to stand!! We still have to work hard to reach the top. This is just the beginning.

Do you think that the Indian scene is improving now, and that there is greater appreciation of extreme music now?
Yes, in the past 2 years there is some definite improvement, but its just started and it’ll take time

Do you have any plans of releasing an album sometime?
Like we told you we are planning to record in August it should be out by September.

Your take on the Indian scene in general and any messages for all the Indian metal heads??
We thank all our friends who helped us and are helping us to promote the extreme metal scene, we thank you for this interview, and thank all the fans that come for our gigs and support our music. Keep the metal faith alive. Thank You.
