After a successful tour of Australia last November where the band played the whole of East cost including the Australia’s very own metal festival “Whiplash”, Blind Image has now announced the Tour of South East Asia – Part 1 Titled “Prologue” starting from Oct 31st.
Krish – The chief spokesperson of the band said:“The idea or the desire to tour SE Asia occurred while i was talking to Pat from the band Dawn Heist in Australia about their experience in SE Asia. Right there we decided that we will tour SE Asia by end of 2012 no matter what and that day is here. And it is true that ASIA as such is becoming the next big thing for metal music. I mean look at the number of bands toured this region in the last year alone. All the big names came down here and played. The world is watching this region finally. We have heard that fans in SE ASIA are crazy and energetic and we are waiting to experience all that craziness. We will be touring along with some really good bands such as Wyken Delirium who have already toured with bands like Arch Enemy during their SE Asia tour. The same band will be touring with us in Feb 2013 in India.
As a part of this short tour we will be playing few shows across Malaysia and Thailand. But we will be starting this tour with shows in India.. We were supposed to play 3 more shows in Philippines and 2 shows in Indonesia as well as a part of the tour. But due to the fact that we are running behind schedule with respect to the production of third album we have kept the tour short and have shifted these other dates for Philippines and Indonesia to next year, which will be following our 3rd album launch”.
Blind Image earlier this year Toured Dubai where they played the Global Metal Bash Festival. They also played at 2 of the prestigious festivals in India IIT Saarang where they supported Vildjharta and VIT Rivera , where they supported the German legends Suidakra.
Rama , the latest addition to the Blind Image family says – “Traveling the world and playing music has been my childhood dream. Now this dream is turning in to reality and I am excited to share it with Blind Image. We all are very much looking forward to play our music to a new set of audience”.
The band entered the Studio to record their second album in the month of July 2012 and now has taken a break to finish this tour after which they will be immediately resuming to the production process to finish their Third album which is being produced by Lakshman – A protégé of AR.Rahman and also the same engineer who produced their second album More Than Human.
