Bangalore based progressive metal band “Eccentric Pendulum” has kicked off 2012 with a big announcement. The band will be playing at the 15th edition of “SWR Barroselas Metalfest” in Portugal this April. The festival is being headlined by metal legends such as Candlemass, Immortal, Gorod and a whole bunch of other uber cool bands. This opportunity has also given them a chance to score some other gigs in Europe, but they will make a separate announcement on that once the dotted lines are signed.

Highlights of the band include winning and headlining at various college festivals and also sharing the stage with metal heavy weights such as Meshuggah, Textures, Amon Amarth, Tesseract, Enslaved and a host of killer Indian bands. The band also has recently represented India in the ‘Wacken Metal Battle’ at W.O.A. in Germany in August 2011, and were very well received by their international audience.
