Dark Helm reveal debut album ‘Persepolis’ details

Pune’s 6 piece Deathcore/Experimental band, Dark Helm have revealed details about their debut album, ‘Persepolis’, which is due for release this November. Persepolis will feature eight full songs & three short instrumentals/interludes. Persepolis is being produced by Neil O’ Connor of Fear Complex Music. Artwork for the album is being done by Rotting Graphics. Describing the concept behind the album, Guitarist Mohinish Deshmukh says,

“…PERSEPOLIS is a concept album based loosely on the ancient Persian king ‘Cyrus the Great’.
The album chronicles his time from when he came to power and how he defended his kingdom by cheating death and bending time. As such, Persepolis is the place that Cyrus chose to be the capital of the Persian Empire.”

Dark Helm also recently signed a 2 year contract with LA based record label, Itchy Metal Entertainment (IME) . On being asked how this deal materialized,  Mohanish had this to say,

…A Russian Deathcore band named Holod, who happen to be friends of ours, heard that we are coming out with an album and suggested that we check out their label ‘Itchy Metal Entertainment’. So we approached them not expecting much and they seemed to like our music and, our album schedule was also falling in place so we went ahead and have signed a 2 year contract with them.

IME will be handling Dark Helm’s worldwide (excluding India) distribution & promotion. Read the signing announcement here.
