As perviously reported, Swedish progressive death giants Opeth will be performing at one of nation’s most prestigious events, Summer Storm 2012 in Bangalore on 5th Feb. This is going to be the second time Opeth would be performing as a headliner in Indian soil. They’ve already played the Saarang Fest 2009 in Chennai, hosted by IIT Madras.
The supporting acts for Summer Storm 2 include Maldivian Heavy metal band ‘Nothnegal‘ and German melodic death with Celtic folk influences metal band ‘Suidakra‘ which will be sharing stage with Opeth.
Now, the Indian supporting acts have also been announced. Local metallers from Bangalore ‘Eccentric Pendulum‘ and ‘Theorized‘ will be playing opening sets for Opeth at Summer Storm 2012. Eccentric Pendulum has already opened for ‘Orphaned Land‘ last year while ‘Theorized’ have opened for ‘Social Suicide‘ and ‘Nervecell‘ on their respective tours to India.
