The Mighty Riff is back, and it’s just getting started this year. Riff52 is the first in a series of gigs that will lead up to the 2012 edition of TMR.

Riff 52 will feature bands hand picked by Bangalore’s favorite doomsters Bevar Sea.

Bombay’s heavy metal band Albatross will be launching their new EP, ‘The Kissing Flies’. Torchbearers of clean sung heavy metal in this country. They’ll be in Bangalore with their proper line-up including their new guitar whizkid tearing us all a new one. A surprise or two on the cards as well. Bevar Sea, the show curators, are going to play a very special set. A tribute to some of their riff masters.

Dhwesha the exceptional old school death metal boys from the ancient Jayanagara Empire will bring the old fashioned death metal with a couple of brand new tunes, and finally, Shepherd, one of the best new bands in Bangalore, these socially awkward sludge buds are just going to crush with their noisy low end madness.

Riff52 is on March 31st, at B52 in Koramangala. 200 INR entry.
