GIG ALERT: Warp Zone 2.0 feat Abandoned Agony, Corrode, Orbitual, The Mechanix and Blak ‘N’ Wayt

In association with The Kyra Theater, Protogenic Productions will be hosting WARP ZONE 2.0 on the 22nd of August, Monday.

Line up –

Abandoned Agony

A Technical/Brutal Death Metal band which is characterized by guttural vocals, technical guitar riffing, fast solos, accompanied by equally fast and technical drumming. The band believes in staying true to what they believe in; making unadulterated music without having a commercial view, and delivering the same in power packed performances

Corrode

Black metal and melodic metal influences merged to form Corrode.Their music has been consistent with no shift in genre from the time of the band’s inception.The band played at many college fests and local gigs. The band is in the process of writing and producing their debut album with a distinct and more melodic sound as compared to the singles formerly released.

Orbitual

A progressive metal band from Bangalore . Orbitual was previously known as “Band Aid” . After a year of existence and of majorly being a college band The band name is derived from the words ‘Orbit’ and ‘Ritual’, where ‘Orbit’ depicts progressiveness and change and ‘Ritual’ depicts dark, extreme and suicidal. Both of which depict the band’s new-found path and sound and over-all out look.

The Mechanix

The Mechanix is a thrash/death core metal band hailing from Bangalore/Chennai formed earlier months of 2010. The members include Navneeth, the vocalist, Auri (ex guitarist of Progardin, Strophoid), Siva the bassist (known as Gross Mora) also plays for the popular band “Blind Image” from Chennai, and finally Yadhunandhan who replaced former drummer Varun. Mechanix has been the South zone winners for BITS, VIT 2010 runners up and best drummer, Strawberry fields 8th position, and have recently opened for Cyanide Serenity

Blak ‘N’ Wayt

They were formed in the beginning of 2011 with Sandy on vocals, Ankur on guitars, Suraj on Drums n Somnath on Bass. In the beginning this was just a garage band jamming all kinds of classic melodies, old school materials from Skid Row n also some trashy materials from Megadeth, Pantera, Judas Priest etc.The band played at CMC college – Pegasus 2011 and secured Third Place with Individual prizes like Best Guitarist, Best vocalist, Best Bassist.
