HALAHKUH reveal artwork and tracklisting of debut EP

Pune based death/thrash metal band HALAHKUH is all set to release their debut EP ‘DESECRATION‘. ‘DESECRATION’ is HALAHKUH’s first release, apart from various singles released during the band’s tenure which were also featured on different online compilation.

HALAHKUH started out as a band in February 2011, With an aim of making it big while the Pune’s metal scene was on the brink of decline. In the initial days of the band, it came into limelight by winning all the major college competitions in the city followed by some major gigs with the well known metal bands of the country. It was in mid 2012 that the band went through a line up change but that didn’t stop the band from doing what they believe in .

It was in September 2012 that the band decided to finally come out with their debut EP. The work on the EP almost went on for 6 months which includes countless hours of effort put in by our producer Adhiraj Singh (Refractor Studios/Noiseware). It was a unanimous decision amongst the band members to get Shashank Bhatnagar(Ex-UNDYING INC) to feature on one of our crowd favourite track, ‘SACRILEGE‘ as guest vocalist as all of us respected him as one of the best metal vocalist in the current Indian metal scene.

The EP was named DESECRATION based on the biography of the band which describes Halahkuh (With haplessness of the people rising by the day due to those access to power and the powerful, fail to deliver. The sanctity of the supreme is questioned. Halahkuh is a phenomenally powerful entity. An epitome of power and resilience )

Tracklist:

  • Ordeal (Intro)
  • Possessed Strangulated and Enslaved
  • Sacrilege (Feat Shashank Bhatnagar)
  • In Extremis

The official EP launch date is set for 9th February 2013 at Entombed metal festival volume-II (PUNE) alongside various acts from different parts of the country. They’ll also be playing a gig alongside ZYGNEMA(MUMBAI) on 7th Feb 2013 in Nasik and hopefully will be releasing and selling their EP there as well.
