Come 18th October, Imphal will witness the Danish Death Metal Powerhouse Dawn of Demise headlining second edition of Imphal Metal Convention (IMC) at YAC ground. Dawn of Demise consists of Scott Jensen (vocals), Martin Sorensen (guitar), Bjorn Jensen (bass), Thomas Egede (guitar), and Simon Blaabjerg (guitar). Formed in 2004, the band has 1 EP and 3 studio album to its name. The band shot to fame when they received the “Best live band” at the Danish Metal Awards in 2007. They were also invited as the special guest band on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball tour in 2009. The Band has performed all over the world with acclaimed bands like Suffocation, Deicide, Nile, Illdisposed, Hatesphere etc. The band is currently signed with Unique Leader’s record and has just returned after touring US.
Apart from the main act, IMC will also feature 11 more bands (1 each from Darjeeling, Senapati & churchandpur along with 8 bands from Imphal). Legendary band “Postmark” will be seen with a new line up. Darjeeling based Sycorax, known for their amazing live acts has also confirmed to be a part of IMC-II. The featuring bands are:
