Durban, South Africa based three-piece Grindcore band ‘Iraqi Death Police’ have released their album controversially titled as ”Allah Will Fuck You”.
“We didn’t really set out to piss anyone off in particular – we just made a Deathgrind album and, well, we do get pretty angry at a number of different parties,” says Brynn ‘Kadar Pussydestroyer’ Huxtable, co-founder and musician from the band. “We think that some people will probably think we’re victimizing them in particular, but in truth, we’re just being ironic, over-the-top and deliberately heinous with our music. Hate is a strong emotion, one that far outweighs the power of love or happiness. So we aim to chip away at the cracks in people’s armour and just make them feel something, whatever it may be.”
The album is technically a fusion of Thrash, Death and Grindcore elements, but there are certain songs such as Stinger Missile Blues and 72 Virgins (Cracker Snatch) that deviate from these conventions in a number of ways.
“When we write, we write what we want to, when we want to – that’s just how it goes,” remarks Grant ‘Ramiz Intestinegrater’ Lazenby, the other founder and guitarist / vocalist from the band. “We generally move along the genre of Deathgrind, but we do add Neo-classical, Blues and Progressive elements in certain instances.”
Whatever you make of them, Iraqi Death Police seem to be in it for the long run – they’ve just released their second music video for their song Rocket Condom on their MySpace and Facebook pages, so if you want to see what all the commotion is about, get on the net and start checking out their shit!
