WINTER GATE is a Progessive Death Metal band from Jaipur. Formed back in 2008, the band was originally known as ‘Alath‘ and then ‘War Autopsy‘. Their songs are generally a deep mix of death metal and tight acoustic patterns covered with different death metal/clean vocals. They try to bring up the true and pure death metal all in a progressive environment. But the root breed still remains old school. The main influences of the band includes  Death, Bloodbath, Opeth, Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary etc.

Currently, the band is planning an EP in early winters. Recording duties are being taken by Anupam Roy at Gray &  Saurian, Delhi Keshav Dhar. The recording is scheduled in early October. They have decided to name their debut EP as “DisIllumination“. It will be a two track EP, but the tracks being longer in duration, the EP clocks up to be just below 30 min. They haven’t yet decided the cover art for the EP. It will be released soon.
