Death – Sound Of Perseverance

Death - Sound Of Perseverance Few people can match Chuck Schuldiner talent and creativity. One of the first Death Metal bands Death has built us a strong fan following and had some great releases like Symbolic and Leprosy and their new offering Sound Of Perseverance is one of their best efforts so far. This time Richard Christy(I think) is on drums. Some awesome solo drumming with lots of double bass to open the album and killer riffs and then chucks screams and all hell has broken loose on the 1st song Scavenger Of Human Sorrow.Chuck has got some more melodic riffs this time and the drummer is some kind of GOD.The next song bite the pain starts with slower melodic riff and Chucks inhuman screams and the inhuman drummer pick up the speed. The next song Spirit Crusher starts nice and slow with bass and drums and the guitars and vocals come crashing in the song has a great riff. The next song song Story to Tell is a great track and the next on Flesh and the Power it Holds has a awesome evil sounding riff which starts the song.Next Chuck has a surprise acoustic instrumental which is awesome and shows his talent as a guitarist there is a solo throughout the song which is mind blowing and which according to me puts him up there will Joe Satriani,Vai, Malmsteen and everyone else.Chuck really has a thing for drum intros cause this is the second song in which he does that and also put a lot of solo bass parts. To forgive is to Suffer is the track and then comes A Moment Of Clarity which has a some great solos. And to top of the album Death has covered Judas Priests – Painkiller and he’s done it faster.Chuck has done a great job on this classic metal track and he does a great job on the vocals too which shows he can sing!.This is a must get album if you like great riffs, mad drumming and good music.
