One of the greatest releases of last year. This quartet from the US do know to kick some butt!!!The release combines, very intricately, aggression(fist full of it) and talent(in terms of technicality).For an album of such short length(23 mins)it does speak immensely of the band. This cd contains 5 tracks, all recorded at a studio somewhere in the US(no mention of it in the inlay).The songs are pretty long, the longest clocking 5:23 mins…but don’t let this keep u away from it. Unlike the other bands that play really long songs FLESHTIZED have successed in keeping the energy level of each song at its peak throughout the whole song.Infact there is a small acoustic part at the end of the first track(lasts for around 20secs).The production is crisp…..not in the full sense of the term "crisp". It does have its flaws….The drums for some vague reason sound very trebleish(pardon the English).This is one of the first death metal releases that I have heard, were the bass plays a very prominent part..and is heard(for a change!!!).The bass fill-ins and overall bass lines of all the songs are well executed and really twisted and complicated. The vokills don’t exactly "kill", I wonder whether the vocalist had a sore throat when he recorded the vokills..cause it sounds like he does. The inlay is kept very simple and it does have the lyrics printed. overall it is a very strong release. fans of NILE,CRYPTOPSY should get their hands on this cd…trust me u will enjoy it!!!!
