Potential Threat – 2.0 EP

Its an EP release by San Francisco trio, and the effort stays true to an all American metal style, mixing metal riffs of late 80’s and a bit of mid 90’s, counting primarily on Anthrax as chief inspiration! Mike’s vocals are punkish hardcore in nature, supported in-chorus on track1-‘Day of infamy’ and few places elsewhere, shuffling to slightly elongated paths here and there. Astonishingly guitar sound isn’t entirely flat; moreover band infuses thin mellow parts, which sound fresh. Lyrics deal with life, inner confrontation and all that regular jazz (no pun intended though!) Drumming is balanced, beating the bush creating a hard jumpy sound. No flaws production wise either. In fifteen minutes you get a mixed dose of Anthrax, Machine head and hatebreed. But, mind you bands of this genre lack variety, therefore excuse me as I rate it below par.(5.5/10)
