Albatross to release split EP with Vestal Claret

Roadcrew Records is proud to announce the release of a split CD featuring Mumbai based horror/heavy metal band Albatross and Connecticut based occult/heavy metal band Vestal Claret. The CD will officially be launched at Albatross’s album release gig the 30th of March at Star Rock, Chennai. It contains two tales of darkness, morbidity and despair.
The Kissing Flies is Albatross’s follow up to the critically acclaimed ‘Dinner is You‘. This time it tells the story of a town which is on the verge of death, and is infested by demonic flies who’re drawn to this death and decay. The EP features guest performances by Niklas Stalvind (Wolf), Murari Vasudevan (Rat King) and The Demonstealer (Demonic Resurrection). Albatross plans to launch the EP with a multi city album tour across venues in India.

Vestal Claret was formed in 2005 by Philip Swanson and Simon Tuozzoli as a occult metal/death rock project. After a brief hiatus, the Connecticut based band released their full length album- Bloodbath in 2011 followed by a split with German Black Metallers Ungod. Black Priest is a 17 minute epic doom track in 3 parts which tells the tale of a ‘Black Priest in White Chapel.’ It features Christopher Taylor Beaudette(Nightbitch) filling in as drummer for the original drummer Michael A. Petrucci, who’s currently on tour.
