The final line-up of BANGALORE OPEN AIR(BOA) is finally announced yesterday and consist of six international acts and two Indian acts to perform on two different stages in the second edition of BOA to take place on 6th July in Bangalore.
The final act announced yesterday was ICED EARTH, who had to cancel their performance in last year’s edition of BOA due to visa issues. While Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity make their second trip to India, American progressive metal band Animals As Leaders, Norwegian black metal artist Ihsahn, prog metal band Leprous and German thrash metal band Sodom will make their India debut. Mumbai extreme metal band Demonic Resurrection were the first act announced in December, followed by Bengaluru heavy metal veterans Millennium joined the lineup in January.

Bangalore Open Air have a tie up with German metal festival Wacken Open Air cross-promote the event and has helped put together an Indian edition of Wacken Metal Battle. The competition gives one Indian band a performance slot at Wacken Open Air, Germany in August, was won by Mumbai groove metal act Zygnema last year. The competition will take place in seven different cities this year.
