Demonic Resurrection extends ‘The Unrelenting Guitar Cover Contest’

On 11th October Indian Metallers Demonic Resurrection announced ‘The Unrelenting Guitar Cover Contest’ inviting fans to upload a guitar cover of the song ‘The Unrelenting Surge Of Vengeance’ from the album ‘The Return To Darkness’ which was released on Demonstealer Records in India and Candlelight Records Worldwide. After many requests from fans the band has extended and expanded the contest.

The cover contest required guitar players to record a video of them covering of the song and upload it on youtube. The prize was a bag of signed Demonic Resurrection goodies and a kickass ESP Guitar T-Shirt. However the band has upped the prize to an additional 1500 INR gift voucher from Furtados Music who are the biggest importers for musical instruments in India as well as have a chain of retail stores for instruments.

The band has also extended the contest to vocalists, bass players and drummers. Backing tracks for all instruments have been uploaded to their Reverbnation page for fans to download and use for their entries. All contest details are posted online on the bands Facebook page.

“The response to the contest has been over whelming, we thought this would primarily be for our Indian fans but we got entries from the USA and even from Nepal. We also had a lot of vocalists and bassists etc who also wanted to cover the song so we decided to expand it and have it for them as well. We’ve got some good versions from the guitar players so far and we can’t wait to see what the vocalists, drummers and bassists come up with.” – Demonstealer (Vocals/Guitars)
