Oriental Death Metal band, ARKAN, have just revealed the cover and tracklisting of their new album “Salam” (Peace) which will be released on April 18th via Season of Mist features special guest Kobi Farhi from Orphaned Land and Sarah Layssac. Their debut “Hilal” (2008) received high praise for its originality and mature songwriting. Now “Salam” witnesses ARKAN reaching an even higher level of mastery. The sounds of East and West, the melodies of North and South are expertly woven together into colourful song textures.
The producer, Fredrik Nordstrom (In Flames, Dimmu Borgir) said: “With this album Arkan excels in its art of mixing metal and Arabic music. The result is close to a masterpiece and these guys are its amazing conductors.”
