Marduk finally,finally have some real competition in the "faster than death"-race for the coveted speed cup.Sweden’s Setherial marches into the lands where originality and extreme speed reigns supreme! a great contribution in making the album even more brutal is the presence of Themgoroth(Dark Funeral) as sessions screamer,his influences of Dark funeral very evident and helping in making things more faster than ever,the conviction of the band is unquestionable with the display of apocalyptic boughs of speed which are enough the envelope the globe in napalm! the drum work detonates with machine like accuracy,driving hell-born guitar lines that range from the stripped down basics to more chaotic scales all leading into a contorted storm of rage.Hell Eternal does several time drop off’s into mid -paced territory, where the quick double bass drumming of Alastor Mysteriis is enough to hold the tempo but soon cascades back into a blistering maelstorm where Satan is proudly hailed through the harsh vocalistaions of Themgoroth, the music is never relenting, and to top it all the most crisp production(Peter & Tommy Tagtgren’s Abyss studio) with minor and minimal synth fills as on "The sign of wrath awakened". Setherial makes the listener feel tense, angry and ready to smash everything in sight and reach.As i have always said, if music holds the power to sculpt your feelings, its creators are doing something very, very right!
