This is Slayers best album ever although most people say its Reign In Blood. Slayer are know for being speed demons and this album kicks off at a 200bpm with War Ensemble which is fast and furious its a Killer song. Then follows some great tracks like Blood Red,Spirit In Black and Expendable Youth which are heavy fast and have a a lot of groove.The next track Dead Skin Mask is evil its probably one of the most evil songs.It has a very haunting riff which will stay in your head for a long time.This is probably the best song on the album. Then comes Hallowed Point and we are back to light speed…and then straight to Skeletons Of Society which is one hell of a song this is a really groovy track got a nice riff and catchy drum…good for moshing..just like all the other Slayer songs.Slayer just keep going fast and fast the next 2 songs Temptation and Born of Fire are pure speed and pure Slayer and then comes the title track to end the album Seasons In The Abyss.Its starts of slow and heavy goes into a creepy clean guitar part and the from there Dave Lombardo goes mad with the drums and the rest of the song is awesome.This is definitely Slayers best Lombardo is at his best he is playing some wild stuff lots of complex drum parts and Kerry and Jeff are play one awesome riff after after and to top it of is some of Toms best singing ever.
