This is must for everyone who like Melodic Death metal.Amon Amarth are from somewhere in Europe and play "Viking Metal" or "War Metal" as they put it.This album kicks ass from the 1st song Bleed For Ancient Gods which is heavy and melodic and they vocals are a good mix of growls and screams.Songs that follow "The Last With Pagan Blood", "North Sea Storm" and "Avenger" are pure war metal, very melodic and heavy.The next track is God His Son And Holy Whore ..and i was thinking isn’t it wrong English shouldn’t it be God his son and "the" Holy Whore?? The next song is pure metal "Metal Heart" starts with Johan the vocalist growling out the words Wrath,hate,pain and Death! solo and then the rest of the band joins in another mid blowing song.The album then ends with Legend Of A Banished Man.Starts with a catchy clean guitar part and breaks into Distortion.Suprisingly the album has only 7 songs.But the vinyl has 8 the extra track being Thor Arise which is one the grindcore side..probable one of their old track or something.The song is like a slightly melodic cannibal corpse.
